Chartering in the UK and abroad
Time & Location
About the Event
Our guest speaker for this zoom presentation will be the principal at EASS, Edd Harvey, who is a qualified RYA Yachtmaster Instructor. He will explain various aspects of yacht charter including costs, insurance and the necessary qualifications. He will also be showing photographs of the yachts that EASS offers for charters as well as showing some navigation charts of the area.
The East coast is known for its shallow waters, shipping lanes, wind farms and sand banks. For this reason, to bareboat charter from East Anglian Sea School in the UK you must hold a minimum of 3 years relevant sailing experience or hold an RYA Day/Coastal Skipper Practical Certificate and, as a legal requirement, a VHF radio license.
Charter from East Anglian Sea School & explore the local Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex coastline and rivers on one of our Jeanneau yachts.
EASS also compete in the legendary biannual race, the RORC Rolex Fastnet on our First 40 Carbon Edition.
Further information on chartering with EASS can be found on their website
